
03-10-2025, Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), in association with Last Mile Care, today inaugurated the KAVACH Health & Wellness Center at its Logistics Park, near Gate No. 3 of its Jajpur plant. The initiative is a significant step towards strengthening healthcare access for drivers and other transport workers associated with the plant. Inaugurating it, Shri Awanindra Kumar Singh, Senior Vice President, JSL, said, “The KAVACH Health & Wellness Center is designed to provide 24-hour medical support, preventive healthcare and wellness facilities to the workers who form the backbone of the logistics ecosystem.” The occasion also saw the launch of the LMC mobile application which is linked to a unique ID-based health repository, ensuring continuity of care and allowing patients to book doctor consultations on the go – making healthcare more accessible even during their travels. In addition, the Pilot Care Kit was introduced, which included app details, a health card, and a consent form, ensuring that drivers can seamlessly integrate the technology with their health needs. The Kavach Center, run by Last Mile Care (LMC), provides comprehensive preventive and primary care services to the transportation community. Through this program, two types of health check-ups will be provided, namely Basic Health Check-up on a monthly basis and Advanced Health Check-up on a quarterly basis. Apart from this, continuous free consultation will also be provided at all times. With this launch, JSL aims to further strengthen its vision of overall well-being beyond the workplace and create a safe, healthy ecosystem for drivers and transport workers. Building on the success of this program, we plan to expand it in the future,” said Mr. Raj Alok, Head of Logistics. Heads of various departments of the company and other employees were present on this auspicious occasion.
