The 23rd Annual Function of Maharishi Public School, Nayapalli was celebrated with great enthusiasm, bringing together students, parents, and distinguished guests for an evening of colour, creativity, and achievement.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including former MP Dr. Prasanna Patasani, Mayor of Bhubaneswar Sulochana Das, Director of Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar Prof. Karunakar Nanda, MLA Ananta Narayan Jena, former North Bhubaneswar MLA and Chairman of Odisha State Housing Board Priyadarshi Mishra, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, former Finance Minister Panchanan Kanungo, Nayapalli Corporator Manasirani Sundaray, DCP Armed Police Prafulla Kumar Singh, social worker Jyotsnamayee Nanda, Chairman of MPS Group Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, and Director Hena Mahapatra.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Director Hena Mahapatra, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a melodious welcome song presented by students. In their speeches, the dignitaries applauded the school’s commitment to holistic education and encouraged students to strive for excellence in both academics and co-curricular pursuits.
A vibrant cultural showcase highlighted the evening, featuring dance, music, and a thought-provoking drama on the impact of social media, which emerged as the highlight of the programme. The event also included the distribution of prizes to students who excelled in various competitions throughout the year.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Hena Mahapatra, expressing gratitude to guests, parents, staff, and students for making the event a grand success.
