New Delhi, March 11:
Dr. Rabinarayan Behera, Member of Parliament from Jajpur Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha, has been conferred with the “Dadasaheb Phalke Gold Award for MPs & Ministers” at a grand ceremony held in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The award was presented in recognition of his notable contributions towards the development of culture and tourism in his parliamentary constituency.
Former Governor of Assam attended the event as the chief guest. Several Members of Parliament, MLAs, film producers and prominent celebrities were also present on the occasion, adding grandeur to the programme.
Expressing his gratitude after receiving the honour, Dr. Behera said that the award would inspire him to work with greater dedication for the promotion and development of culture, tradition and tourism in his constituency in the coming days.
He also thanked the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Film Organisation and all those associated with the event for conferring him with the prestigious honour.
Dr. Behera dedicated the award to the people of his parliamentary constituency and said that their blessings and support would continue to motivate him to serve the public with greater commitment.
