Balasore, March 20 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): Pakhala Divas was celebrated today by the district administration at Padmavati Amusement Park.
The event was organized under the direct supervision of District Tourism Officer Biswajit Behera. All the officials of the district administration present on the occasion enjoyed the traditional dish of pakhala.
Among those who participated in the celebration were Balasore Collector Suryabanshi Mayur Vikas, Zilla Parishad President Narayan Pradhan, Additional District Magistrate Sudhakar Naik, Balasore Sub-Collector Shiva Malavya, and Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Sanjay Kumar Raut, along with several other administrative officials. They all relished the experience of having pakhala together.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, joined the celebrations virtually from Panthanivas in Bhubaneswar.
Through the virtual platform, he interacted with district officials participating in Pakhala Divas celebrations across all districts of the state, as well as with many Odia people living in different parts of India and abroad.
He extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Odisha and to Odia brothers and sisters living in every corner of the world on the occasion of Pakhala Divas.
