The Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) celebrated its 22nd Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and professional fervour at the Press Club Kolkata. The Foundation Day celebration showcased PRCI East’s two-decade journey of promoting professional excellence, fostering industry collaboration, and advancing ethical standards in public relations practice. The chapter has been instrumental in building a robust network of communication professionals and facilitating knowledge sharing through various initiatives and platforms.

PRCI serves as a unifying platform for communication professionals across sectors, advancing professional education and establishing industry standards.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Suresh Kumar, Chairman of Damodar Valley Corporation, applauded the role of PR professionals in shaping public perception and strengthening communication across sectors. The milestone event featured the prestigious N D Rajpal Memorial Guest Lecture on “Crisis & Strategic PR,” addressing contemporary challenges in reputation management and strategic communication. The expert panel discussion explored critical aspects of crisis preparedness, ethical communication practices, and the evolving role of public relations in today’s digital landscape.
Senior PR practitioners, corporate communication heads, and media professionals engaged in insightful dialogue on emerging trends, technological disruption, and the increasing strategic importance of communication in organizational success. The speakers emphasized transparency, preparedness, and ethical standards as cornerstones of effective crisis management.
