October 2: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the All India Central Government Pensioners’ Association, Mayurbhanj Branch, organised a series of social service activities at the Jiban Jyoti Disabled Institute at Raghunathpur, Baripada, under the supervision of its President, Sri Bhagaban Samal.

At around 8:00 AM, members of the association visited the institution and personally served breakfast to the students. The students and staff expressed their happiness at the gesture and appreciated the members’ initiative.
Addressing the students, General Secretary Sri Susanta Kumar Achuan spoke about the significance of Gandhi Jayanti and Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of truth, non-violence, cleanliness and service to society. He also conveyed the association’s best wishes for the students’ healthy, disease-free and bright future.

Following the breakfast programme, the association members conducted a cleanliness drive within the institute campus under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, marking Gandhi Jayanti through a practical commitment to cleanliness and community service.
As part of another environmental initiative, 20 palm seeds were planted along both sides of the Raghunathpur road, with the stated objective of contributing to lightning protection and environmental improvement.
President Sri Bhagaban Samal, Working President Sri Sanatan Modi, Vice President Sri Seshabatar Nayak, General Secretary Sri Susanta Kumar Achuan, Treasurer Sri Ram Chandra Swarn, Joint Treasurer Sri Biluram Singh, Joint Secretary Sri Sridhar Behera, Sri Ganeswar Patra, member Smt. Shakila Swarn and senior member Sri Bhejumohan Tantri actively participated in the programmes and contributed to their successful organisation.
