Bhubaneswar (KCN Bureau/Prasar Khuntia): In a significant organisational development, eminent cooperative expert Amiya Kumar Pattanaik has been appointed as the Chairman of the Cooperative Cell of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee. Pattanaik currently serves as the National Coordinator of the All India Kisan Congress and is a former President of the Odisha Pradesh Kisan Congress.
The appointment was formally made on Saturday by OPCC President Bhakta Charan Das according to a press release issued by Aravind Das, Chairman of the PCC Media Cell.The OPCC leadership expressed confidence that under Pattanaik’s dynamic and experienced leadership, the Cooperative Cell will gain renewed momentum. The organisation plans to intensify its activities from the grassroots level with a structured initiative to identify and engage cooperative professionals at every panchayat level. The move is aimed at strengthening the cooperative movement across Odisha and ushering in a transformative phase in the cooperative sector reinforcing the Congress party’s commitment to farmer welfare, rural development and inclusive economic growth, the release added.
