Bhubaneswar:
Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, National President of the Rashtriya Patrakar Mahasangh (RPM); Indian Federation of Small and Medium Newspapers (IFSMN); National Media Confederation (NMC) and Editor-in-Chief of Paryabekhyak and The Kalinga Chronicle, joined several eminent dignitaries at the World Human Rights Day Celebration held at the Indian Red Cross Society Bhavan, Bhubaneswar.
The event was organised by the Odisha Human Rights Clinic to mark the global observance of Human Rights Day and to highlight the need for collective commitment towards safeguarding human dignity.
Among the notable personalities present were Former Development Commissioner Sri Rabinarayan Senapati, IAS; Sri Gopabandhu Mallick, IPS, Former ADG; Prof. Niranjan Barik, Dean, Ravenshaw University; Sri Gautam Buddha Das, Hon’ble MLA, Bhograi; along with other distinguished guests, social leaders and human rights advocates.
Dr. Samantaray, known for his longstanding contribution to journalism and social justice, appreciated the initiative and emphasised the role of media, civil society and institutions in protecting fundamental rights and ensuring justice for all.
The event witnessed insightful discussions, awareness sessions and collective reflections on strengthening human rights mechanisms in Odisha and across India.
