A delegation led by Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, National President of the National Journalists’ Federation, visited the District Jail in Kaushambi to meet journalist Ishtiyaq Ahmad in connection with his ongoing case.
During the visit, the delegation held a detailed discussion with Ishtiyaq Ahmad regarding the circumstances of the matter and assured him of all possible support from the organization. The team expressed solidarity and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that justice is served.
Subsequently, the delegation met Ali Muktida, President of the Electronic Media Club, to deliberate on the issue in depth. They also met the family members of Ishtiyaq Ahmad and extended their support during this challenging time.
Taking the matter seriously, the delegation later met Rajesh Kumar,IPS, Superintendent of Police, Kaushambi. The SP assured the delegation that the case would be investigated impartially and that all possible assistance would be provided in accordance with the law.
The journalists’ organization expressed hope that a fair and just course of action would be ensured in the matter.
