Baripada, January 12:
The 109th birth anniversary of the great spiritual master Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at Maharishi Public School, Baghada Road, Baripada, on Sunday.

The programme began with Guru Pujan performed by Kar Sir, followed by Guru Vandana and melodious devotional music. Students Tanvi, Abhilipsa, Niharika, Tapaswini, Liza and Arab mesmerized the audience with graceful dance performances, while other students presented inspiring group songs.
Teachers, students and guests spoke about the life, philosophy and global contribution of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, highlighting his message of inner peace, meditation and universal harmony. The entire gathering—students, teachers and parents—joined together in singing “Vande Mataram,” creating a patriotic and spiritual atmosphere.
An exhibition showcasing students’ creativity was another major attraction of the event. It displayed 25 innovative projects and over 100 art and craft works. The exhibition was evaluated by senior educationist and retired Block Education Officer Mr. Sudarshan Panda and senior science teacher and President of OSTA Teachers’ Association Mr. Chittaranjan Palta.
The projects were categorized into four groups, and first, second and third prize winners, along with all participants, were awarded cash prizes and certificates by the guests to encourage young talents.
The celebration was successfully conducted with the cooperation of all teachers and staff. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Headmaster Kajalkanti Mahapatra.
