Bhopal ( KCN):
A massive protest highlighting long-pending grievances of teachers was held on Friday in the state capital under the banner of the Azad Adhyapak Shikshak Sangh, drawing participation from nearly three lakh teachers across Madhya Pradesh. The agitation was led by the State President of the organization, Shri Bharat Patel, and reflected widespread discontent among educators over service and pay-related issues.

Sharing details of the protest, Shri Vinod Yadav, National Organising Secretary of the All India NPS Employees Federation (AINPSEF), said the movement received strong national-level backing. The protest was attended by AINPSEF National President Dr. Manjeet Singh Patel, along with senior national office bearers including National Media Secretary Shri Janak Singh Rawat, Additional Secretary Shri Rakesh Kumar Rai, and National Vice President Shri Neeraj Kumar Tripathi.
Addressing the huge gathering, Dr. Manjeet Singh Patel strongly criticised what he termed as discriminatory treatment meted out to teachers. He said that while the Central Government propagates slogans such as “One India – Best India” and “One Nation – One Constitution,” teachers continue to face injustice on the ground. He pointed out that despite the same political party being in power at both the Centre and in Madhya Pradesh, the legitimate demands of teachers remain unresolved.
Dr. Patel highlighted that teachers in Madhya Pradesh are being denied seniority-based career progression, timely promotions, and proper calculation of service tenure, which has a direct adverse impact on their pension and post-retirement security. Echoing these concerns, Vinod Yadav stated that salaries deducted during the 2022 teachers’ agitation have still not been reimbursed, and teachers continue to be deprived of cashless medical facilities.
Reaffirming AINPSEF’s commitment, Dr. Manjeet Singh Patel assured that the federation would continue to fight for uniform pay scales, allowances, and service conditions for teachers and employees across the country in line with Central Government standards. He also announced that AINPSEF would take up teachers’ issues forcefully while addressing anomalies in the proposed Eighth Pay Commission.
The leaders concluded by asserting that sustained, collective, and organised efforts would be intensified until justice is ensured for the teaching community.
