
Cuttack, Odisha | October 12, 2025:
In a significant step toward inclusive and equitable healthcare, the KRIAA Foundation, in collaboration with the Directorate of Public Health (DPH), Government of Odisha, and Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer (AHPGIC), Cuttack, inaugurated the “Odisha Celebrates Pink October 2025” campaign. The initiative aligns with the national movement Vikasit Vision – Vision 2047, reaffirming that comprehensive cancer care is a human right.

The event featured a Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp, emphasizing education, early detection, and empowerment. Nearly 200 participants from various walks of life joined hands to support the cause, showcasing strong community engagement.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Rabindra Narayan Behera, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Jajpur, as Chief Guest, along with Mr. Sovic Biswal, Hon’ble MLA, Choudwar-Cuttack; Group Captain Dr. Deepak Rautray, Director, AHPGIC, Cuttack; and Dr. Nrupendra Kumar Satapathy, District Medical Officer, Cuttack, as Guests of Honour. Dr. Bhagyalaxmi Nayak also attended as Special Guest, contributing her valuable insights and encouragement.
A moving moment came when Ms. Laganjita, a breast cancer survivor, shared her inspiring story of courage and recovery—reminding everyone that early detection, hope, and community support save lives.
The programme was seamlessly moderated by Ms. Lili Jenamani, Founder and Chairperson of KRIAA Foundation, who also proposed a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, medical experts, and participants for their collective commitment to women’s health and empowerment.
