Bhubaneswar,(KCN Bureau/Prasar Khuntia): In a significant organizational development, the Block and Town Congress Presidents of Puri district have been formally approved by Bhakta Charan Das, Hon’ble President of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee.
Among the newly appointed leaders, the party has entrusted Pratap Kumar Khuntia, a young and dynamic face of the Congress with the responsibility of serving as the Astarang Block Congress President under Puri district.
Adding to the family’s public service credentials, his wife, Manjulata Khuntia is presently discharging her duties as the Sarapanch of Naiguan Gram Panchayat in Astarang Block reflecting a strong grassroots connect and commitment to rural governance.
Notably, Pratap Kumar Khuntia had earlier rendered dedicated service as the General Secretary of the Puri District Congress Committee for several years earning recognition for his organizational acumen and unwavering commitment to party ideals.
Expressing his gratitude on assuming the new responsibility, he conveyed his sincere thanks to AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, PCC Chief Bhakta Charan Das, senior Congress leader Biswa Bhusan Das of Kakatpur Assembly Constituency, Puri District Congress Committee President Rajesh Mishra and former Astarang Block Congress President Bauribandhu Mohanty for reposing their trust in him.
Reaffirming his commitment, Pratap Kumar Khuntia stated that he would dedicate his utmost efforts towards strengthening the party at the grassroots level and advancing its organizational structure across the region.
