Chandikhole( KCN):
A Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized on Sunday morning, January 4, 2026, at Biju Kalyan Mandap, Chandikhole, under the joint auspices of Hindu Ekata Mancha Bharat and Debalaya Bimochanam Udradesh Trust. The programme was held under the chairmanship of Shri Pradipta Kumar Jena, President of Hindu Ekata Mancha.
The ceremony was graced by Paramahamsa Srimad Swami Brahmananda Saraswati Maharaj as the Chief Guest. Renowned Jagannath culture expert Dr. Harihar Kannungo, former Director of the Odia Language Institute and Vice-Chancellor of Veda Vishva Vidyalaya, Tiruvannamalai, attended as a distinguished speaker. Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, Editor-in-Chief of Paryabekhyak and The Kalinga Chronicle, addressed the gathering as the keynote speaker. Eminent academic Dr. Niranjan Sahu, Mahant of Siddha Giri Ashram Baba Biswanath Das, and Jajpur district Hindu Ekata Mancha President Shri Naren Jena, among others, were present as honoured guests.
Speakers highlighted the relevance of the Bhagavad Gita in contemporary life and emphasized how its teachings help individuals lead disciplined, value-based lives. Students were encouraged to read the Gita daily and imbibe its principles for character building and righteous living.
As part of the programme, meritorious students from 44 schools of Jajpur district were felicitated with Gita books, trophies, and certificates for their outstanding performance in the Gita examination conducted under the banner of Hindu Ekata Mancha. Coordinators who played a key role in conducting the examinations, including Kunj Bihari Ray, Ghanshyam Biswal, Ananta Narayan Mishra, Kulamani Mallik, Giridhari Samal, Banamali Rath, Purushottam Nayak, and Akshay Kumar Patu, were also honoured.
Several dignitaries, including Sushil Pal, Tejpal Dhenuka, Brajakishore Jena, Rajkumar Khemka, and Dr. Padmalochan Nayak, President of Cuttack District Hindu Ekata Mancha, were present and assisted in the prize distribution ceremony. The programme was conducted by Prof. Niranjan Samal, who also delivered the vote of thanks.
