Balasore, Sept 12:(Krushna Kumar Mohanty) Train services under the Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway will be affected due to a planned traffic-cum-power block at the west end of Kharagpur Yard from September 13 to 15. The block has been scheduled for layout correction work of point numbers 297 A & B and 298.
As per railway sources, two trains will remain cancelled during this period. The 18021 Kharagpur–Khurdha Road Express and the 18022 Khurdha Road–Kharagpur Express will not run on September 13 and 14.
In addition, the 68442 Puri–Jaleswar MEMU, scheduled to run on September 13/14 and 14/15, will be short terminated at Baleshwar.
Railway officials expressed regret over the inconvenience to passengers and appealed for their cooperation, stating that the block is essential for ensuring safety and strengthening infrastructure at Kharagpur Yard
