The project will ensure Development of Pilgrimage Facilities at Bhadrachalam Group of Temples”on Wednesday, 28th December 2022 10:40 A.M. at Sri Seetha Ramach andra Swamyvari Devasth anam, Bhadrachalam, Bhadradri Kothagudem District Telangana and also the foun dation stone for another project Development ofPilgrimage and Heritage Infrastructure of UNESCO World Heritage Site at Rudreshwara Temple Ramappa on Wednesday, 28th December 2022 3:30 P.M.at Ramappa Temple, Palampet village, Mulugu TelanganaThese projects havebeen approved under the PRASHAD National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive) Scheme of the Ministry of Tourism Government of India.IThe Bhadrachalam event is expected to be graced by esteemed presence of Dr.Smt Tamilisai Soundara rajan Governor, Telangana Shri K.Chandrashekar Rao Chief Minister, Telangana Shri G. Danasari Anasuya Seethakka MLA,Mulugu The National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive’ (PRASHAD) is a Central Sector Scheme with complete financialassistance by the Government of India. The scheme is launched under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister by the Ministry of Tourism in the year 2014-15 with the vision of focused integrated infrastructure development to harness pilgrimage and heritage tourism destinati ons for its direct and multip lier effect uponemployment generation and economic development. Sri Seetha Ramchandra Swamyvari Devasthana m, Bhadracha lam is more than 350years old temple. Bhadrach alam Parnasala and Sita Vaagu are part of group of Temples and are closely associated with epic of Ramayana. It is believed that Lord Rama with his wife Goddess Sita and brother Lakshmana spent some part of their 14 years of exile at Parnasala, a village part of Dandakar anya forest near Bhadrachalam Temple.The project “Development of Pilgrimage Facilities at Bhadrachalam Group of Temples, Telangana” under the scheme was approved by the Ministry of Tourism with the estimated cost of INR 41.38 Cr. The components sanctioned includes infrastructural interventions like Pilgrimage Amenity Centre, Parking Area development, Kalyan Mandapam, Streetscaping, Souvenir shops, Rain and Shade Shelters and Railings, E-Bug facilities for Senior citizens and Divyaang jans,overall civil infrastructure improvement, Drinking Water and Toilet Facilities, Food Court, Solar Based Lightings, CCTV Surveillance and Digital Interventions.These interventions aimed at making Ramappa Temple a world class pilgrimage and tourist destinations by providing state-of-the-art facilities for visitors.The Ramappa Temple is a Lord Shiva Temple, a perfect example of architectural brilliance built in 1213 AD by the Kakati ya rulers having a panoramic view of true scenic beauty. This enginee ring marvel helped India achieving a landmark mile stone when Rudreswara Temple also known as the Ramappa Temple got. inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. This was India’s 39th entry in the list.This heritage temple attracts over 10 Lakh visitors every year and has a high visibility amongst the tourist circuit.
The project Development of Pilgrimage and Heritage Infrastructure of UNESCO World Heritage Site at Rudre shwaraTemple Ramappa under the scheme was approved by the Ministry of Tourism with the cost of INR 62 Cr. The scheme has appr oved 3 sites for interventions i.e. a 10 Acre of Site (A) with Interpretation Centre 4-D Movie Hall, Cloak rooms, Waiting halls, First Aid Room, Food Court, Drinking Water and Toilet Facilities, Bus and Car Parking , Drinking Water and Toilet Facilities Souvenir shops. b 27 Acres of Site (B) with Amphitheatre,Sculpture Park, Flower Garden, Road Develop ments, Drinking Water and Toilet Facilities, E-Buggies facilities forSeniorcitizens and Divyaangjans and Ramappa Lakefront Development. Along with these small interventions are proposed for Pan-Area deve lopment.These interventions aimed at making Ramappa Temple a world class pilgrimage and tourist destinations by providing state of the art facilities for visitors along with maintaining and conserving the heritage essence and tranquility of the site intact.
