NSS of Rajdhani College Spreads Awareness on Period Hygiene

National Service Scheme, Rajdhani College, DU organised Sanitary Napkin Awareness, Collection and Distribution Drive in the college premises. Professors, students and other staff members enthusiastically participated and donated pads for the women’s welfare.
NSS volunteers of the College along with the unit’s president Manan and vice president Gaurav Singh under the guidance of Principal Professor Rajesh Giri and Program Officer Dr. Megha Aggarwal visited the near by adopted slum area at Punjabi Bagh where they introduced all the females to a new concept of pads, and also explained them the importance of menstrual hygiene. They were also informed how they are openly inviting some major disease by using a cloth instead of pads, they made them aware of female health and hygiene.
