Tribal Development schemes in Jharkhand has been a failure: Vijay Shankar

Adivasi Bachao rally in the tribal government and spending only ₹ 13 crores out of 135 crores for the development of tribals is like drowning in a handful of water for a government that talks about tribals.

Central President of Jharkhandi Information Rights Forum, Central Vice President cum former candidate of Adivasi Moolvasi Janadhikar Manch, Kanke Assembly Constituency Vijay Shankar Nayak today informed about the development plans of tribal dominated villages.
He further said that today the condition of development schemes of tribal dominated villages has turned from bad to worse.
Mr. Nayak further informed that in the financial year 2020-21 Tribal Utility Area (TS.In P) only Rs 13.11 crore was spent from the head of special central assistance while only Rs 70.49 crore was available. During the financial year 2021-22, not even a penny has been spent from this item, while Rs 65.31 crore was allocated. That is, in two financial years, the center gave 135.8 crores for the development of tribal-dominated villages, but only 13.11 crore rupees were spent and the matter of developing 702 villages in 2022-23 is still pending with the central government, which is a matter of condemnation and platform. Demands from the center that 702 villages should be developedThe matter should not be kept pending for consideration, this plan should be approved immediately so that the way to develop 702 villages can be paved.
Mr. Nayak requested the Chief Minister of the state to take personal interest on this point and work on a special plan to take a special initiative to spend 100% of the crores received in TSP so that Allround
development of tribal-dominated villages can be speeded up and all backward tribal-dominated villages can be developed.
