Ranganath, IPS, Police Commissioner, Warangal, NIT Warangal Director Professor NV Ramana Rao inaugurated the camp. On this occasion, AV Ranganath congratulated the students who came forward with such a nice initiative. He spoke on the importance of blood donation and how it saves many lives. Certificates were distributed to the donors who came forward for such a great program. Director of NIT Warangal Professor NV Ramana Rao said that it is a matter of pride that the students have come forward for such a noble work.
Net Warangal Alumni Section Warangal Chapter donated 1000 apples. Er. Chandragiri Srinivas, President distributed apples to the donors and members of the association along with Prof. Venu Vinod, secretary of the association, donated blood. So far 350 students, faculty and staff have donated blood. 900 people donated blood till 7 pm. On this occasion NIT Warangal received an award from the Telangana State Governor for the highest number of blood units collected in blood donation camp for 2019 (1124 units) and 2020 (1205 units).Shri. S. Govardhan Rao, Registrar, Prof. P. Ravi Kumar, Dean Student Welfare, MC Member, Prof. Hari Krishna, Faculty Advisor – Youth Fest, Chandragiri Srinivas, President- NIT Warangal Alumni Association Warangal Chapter, Dr. Prasad, MGM Hospitals , faculty coordinators of clubs and student council members participated.
