Role of Women In The Contemporary Scenario.

.Series of events held at NIT Warangal on the eve of Women’s day On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Women’s Cell, at NIT Warangal has organized series of events to mark the beginning of Women’s Day on 7th March 2023. Besides conducting cultural events, and other competitions for Girl students and Women faculty, Women Cell at NIT Warangal has organized an invited talk by Dr. Divya Nalla, Director, Nalla Malla Reddy Group of Institutions, Hyderabad from 12.15 to 1.00 pm, who joined the programme virtually and spoke on “Administrative Journey of Women in Education”.Later, in the evening, Women Cell, in association with the Stud ents Council at NIT Warangal conducted Women’s Day celebrations in Ambedkar Learning Centre. The event was graced by Dr. Jyothi Bala, as the Chief Guest and Prof. N.V. Ramana Rao, Director, Prof. Puli Ravikumar, Dea n Student Welfare who grac ed the occasion Guests of Honour. The programme was coord inated by Chairperson, Women Cell Prof M. Sailaja Kumari In her thoughtful and the most inspiring speech the Chief Guest of Women’s day celebrations Dr. Jyothi Bala spoke about the role of women in the contemporary scenario. She mentioned that women play a pivotal role in building the family. In her most stimulating speech delivered by Prof Sailaja Kumari, Chairperson Women Cell, highlighted the subtle differences between the two genders which are often misconstrued. She asserted that the perception of considering women as a differ ent and inferior gender sho uld be changed and accept that both women and men are equal in all spheres of life. Guest of Honour, Prof N.V. Ramana Rao reinstated the fact that women are more than equal to men, as they are the epitome of strength, love, sacrifice and courage. Women are now self-sufficient, well-aware and financially independent
The session was attended by other members of Women Cell, NIT Warangal, Prof H.P Rani., Prof K Madhavi and all the women faculty of NIT Warangal and students. At the end of the programme all the women faculty, non-teaching staff, security guards, hostel employees, caretakers and mess workers of Ladies hostels were honoured with gifts to mark the international women’s day celebrations.
