State level Convention of small and medium newspaper owners/publishers/editors At Cuttack
Bhubaneswar(KCN) :
: Owners/publishers/editors of small and medium newspapers have been publishing newspapers from different parts of odisha after facing various problems. Due to the epidemic corona, the publication of many newspapers has been stopped .
On the contrary, the advertising policy of the Central and State Governments has become like to rob Peter to pay paul .
It may be mentioned here that most of the big newspapers are controlled by Corporates and certain political parties have Monopolies .
As a result, there is a disruption in the democratic system. On the contrary, the owners of small and medium newspapers have taken it as a profession and have published their newspapers by giving priority to the problems of the local people of their area in the principle of living by spare to speak and spare to speech.
There is a need for a strong association of editors-owners and publishers of small and medium newspapers, which are constantly being neglected by the government. Realizing this issue a meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Ravi Rath, the editor of Naveen and convenor of the Small and Medium Newspapers Mahasangha at OTDC Panthnivas in Boxibazar, Cuttack, on March 12th at 11:00 AM to discuss the matter.
