Seminar on women Inclusive Network Held

National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW) organised the valedictory function of the two day international conference titled Women Inclusive Network (WIN) 2023 in connection with International Women’s Day 2023 at the Bose Hall.
Prof K. Madhavi, Head, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences presented an overview of the conference. Prof. M.Sailaja Kumari moderated the feedback reception from participants hailing from various parts of India.Guests of Honour Prof. K. Nayanathara Sattiraju, Dean Academics, CVR College of Engineering, Hyderabad, Smt. K Pushpa Additional DCP, Warangal and Shri S. Govardhan Rao, Registrar NITW addressed the gathering.
Prof Nayanathara highlighted the need for ensuring the employment of more women in Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics(STEM). While Smt. Pushpa underlined how Indian women are already empowered and have explained the daily challenges women face and how they overcome. Shri.S.Govardhan Rao, Registrar, NIT Warangal pointed out the need for digital literacy in women empowerment.
Chief Guest Prof. Kirti Srivastava, Retired Chief Scientist National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad opined about essential inclusiveness of women in all walks of life. Later, the certificates were presented to the participants.The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. M. Sailaja Kumari of Electrical Engineering Department followed. Prof. H. P. Rani, Dr.Spoorthi, Dr.Anjana along with Prof.Madhavi and Prof. Sailaja were the coordinators of the programme.
