Jharkhand Government cancels the Netarhat field firing range Practice

aJharkhand’s Hemant Soren government by issuing notification to cancel Netarhat field firing range is like giving justice to the tribals of Netarhat, Gumla and respecting their sentiments. Jharkhandi Information Rights Forum wholeheartedly congratulates and thanks the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Mr. Hemant Soren for this.
The above things were said today by the Central President of Jharkhandi Information Rights Forum, former MLA candidate Vijay Shankar Nayak. He also further said that some people kept spreading rumors about the state government not stopping the extension of Netarhat Field Firing Range period, whereas, after the order of the Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the closure of the artillery practice from the year 1994 till now and due to the long period. Mr. Nayak further said that the information being spread by some people in this context is baseless and the media is spreading through social media that Netarhat Field Firing Range has not been canceled which is completely wrong. He further said that letter no. 582 dated 29.08. 2022 and letter 376 dated 14.06.2022 clearly mentioned that the proposal to re-notify Netarhat Field Firing Range has been rejected on the orders of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Now, after the decision of the state government, no military exercise will be conducted here considering the sentiments of thousands of villagers. Through the letter issued by the Home Prison and Disaster Management Department of Jharkhand Government, it is clear that the Hemant government, while respecting the sentiments of the tribal native society of Gumla and Latehar, to stop their struggle and do justice to those people, Notification has been issued which is commendable
