Odisha Home Secretary Sanjeev Chopra gets Central Posting

Bhubaneswar(KCN): The Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a slew of appointments.
Among them, Odisha Home Secretary Sanjeev Chopra has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution, Government of India.
A 1990-batch IAS officer, Chopra was appointed Home Secretary, Government of Odisha, in August 2019.
Unique Identification Authority of India (UIAI) CEO Saurabh Garg, another IAS Odisha cadre (1991), has been given Union Secretary rank.
Mr Sanjee Chopra’s wife Mrs Ranjana Chopra a 1994 batch Odisha cadre IAS officer presently working as Principal Secretary MSME Development in Odisha government has already been appointed as additional secretary in the central government culture department on 26th September, 2022.
