Pettiness to say that Balangir District is till now No Industry District as if it is running by the faith of God
.Non of the District Administration, nor the Politicians, non of the sensitive and intellectual Citizens of Balangir District are serious and aware of it. Even if Balangir District is being recognized or pointed out as a Poor & Backward District of Odisha. On the other hand, the oldest inhabitants of Balangir District are also silent and are being dominated by the scattered elements of Balangir District who have made several Rackets in different areas and places of Balangir District & are creating disturbances. There are few Rice Industries who are also fighting for their existence due to the faulty system of the Government, they are running their Rice Mills with taking low cost of milling & the cost of milling has been fixed since years together back , no enhancement and it is as it is, where the Electricity Tariff is increasing day by day. It needs to imagine the condition of the Rice Mills. Question of Mega or Large Scale Industry is a Dream, Similarly Medium Scale Industry is also an another Dream . The Tiny, Cottage and Small Scale Industries are in a hand counted numbers in Balangir District & their conditions are unspeakable, totally miserable and it is due to the wrong & faulty system of the Government. As, most of the educated Boys & Girls are not getting Jobs , they are entering into setting up Tiny , Cottage & Small Scale Industries & they become an Entrepreneur either they set up the Industry on their own land or they set up on IDCO Land. Practically, IDCO, the Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha has taken Government Lands from the Government with a low cost price & in the name of Developed Land , IDCO sales it with a high prices without developing anything. IDCO only makes Roads inside the Industrial Areas and it is also not of standard quality. Most of the unemployed Boys & Girls enter in to the Entrepreneurship life with a great hope & dream. But, Practically, the Government never give support, help & cooperation & it is a practical observation, experience and finding. As the sensitive Boy or Girl becomes Entrepreneur, he or she fights for existence and try to make his Industry successful or to run his Industry smoothly. Gradually, what happened, numbers of irregular and evil mentality elements enter into Entrepreneurship Fields and they started all disturbances. They submitted a project proposal in the IDCO for availing a land , but after availing the land, they set up different projects, for this now the IDCO, Industry Department and District Administration of Balangir District are in an question mark. It is known to all that Balangir District was a State in the name of Patana State where all State Status was there, but due to the nasty politics, regional imbalance, non cooperation as well as the inactiveness of the Inhabitants of Balangir District, it became a District & it is now most poor & backward District of Odisha where no Industry, no development, no seriousness, no active ness, no awareness and it is running by few government officials
