The Cultural Committee of Rajdhani College, University of Delhi, organizes its 2-day Annual Cultural Fest – “Thunderstruck 2023”

23 and 24 March 2023, the Annual Cultural Fest of the College organizes every year its Annual Cultural Fest – “Thunderstruck” that provides a platform to the students to compete and participate in various Inter-college Competitions in Music, Dance, Theatre, Fine Arts and Fashion. Students from various constituent colleges of the University of Delhi and other premier educational institutes of Delhi-NCR participate enthusiastically in these competitions.
The entire program was based upon the theme of connecting the cultural roots of India with the youths. The inaugural session was held on day-1 followed by various competitions. Over 35 teams from various colleges participated in the events, viz. “Noor” the Folk Dance Competition, “Adamya” the Western Dance Competition, “Sargam” Solo Singing Competition, “Battles of the bands” was the inter college competition for the students music bands from various colleges. Day -1 program ended with electronic dance music session where the students moved enthusiastically to the beats of music.
On the second day of the fest, ‘Panache,’ the fashion society of the college presented the fashion show that proved a remarkable program for the students. Fourteen teams participated in the fashion show. The event was based on social theme ‘save tradition-save girl child’. Parallel to this program, “Kolahal” – the Nukkad Natak Competition, was also organized that marked the presence of 15 teams. The painting competition named ” “Ridge”: Brush the Fabric” was also organized by the students. The Tasveer Society of the college presented “Pixel Prize” that showcase the art of clicking impactful and theme based photography.
At the end of the day, Star Night was organized. During the event, Sukh-E, the star singer, was the central attraction. His team entertained students over 1 hour. More than 15000 students gathered in college ground and witnessed the memorable event. Professor Rajesh Giri, Principal of the college, thanked the student for successful and smooth conduct of program and wider participation. It was concluded with vote of thanks by the Cultural Committee convener Shafiqul Alam.
