On Saturday, local MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy, District Praja Parishad organized a two-day training program for the journalists of the district at Singareni Illandu Club House. On this occasion, Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana said. that journalists are working from the village level to the state level and they are selflessly working for the welfare of the people by bringing out the issues happening in the villages. He said that there are more than 32 thousand accreditor journalists in Telangana state like no other state in the country and the government has recognized journalists from mandal level and issued accredit ations. He suggested that the journalists should write news giving full details related to mandal level problems, hopes and aspirations of the people, develop ment issues happening there, injustice and irregularities happening to the people.About 15,000 journalists are working without salary in Telangana state, they have to compete with the competitive world to gather news, press academy conducts training sessions to develop their skills to be useful for journalists, training classes have been completed within the joint districts, JayashanKar is currently in Bhupalapalli district for two days. He asked the journalists to take full advantage of this as training is provided by the staff.
For the welfare of journalists, the Telangana government has set up a press academy like no other state and has allocated 42 crores of funds, 2.5 lakhs have been given to each family as financial assistance to the families of more than 500 journalists who have died through the press academy in the state, and about 7 crores have been given to 4000 journalists during the time of carona.
