Two Day Annual Fest of Women Development Cell begins at Rajdhani College

New Delhi (KCN) :

The Women Development Cell of Rajdhani College conducted it’s annual fest on 3rd April. The event was graced by Prof. K Ratnabali, Dean Academic Activities and Projects, University of Delhi, as Chief Guest, Prof. Neena Pandey, School of Social Work as Guest of Honour, Capt. Ritu Kumar, ex Army officer and Tedx speaker, and representatives from Titli foundation and Ashwika foundation.

The event began with Principal Prof. Rajesh Giri’s address where he mentioned various events and activities organized by the college towards gender sensitisation in both male and female students.

This was followed by the formal launch of WDC magazine ‘Chitraganda’.
Professor Neena Pandey delivered her speech wherein she pointed out that it has become necessary that women question the people who consider womanhood less than manhood. She described humility and femininity as the identity of a woman and appealed to all the women present in the program to accept their femininity and demand equality and equal rights for themselves.

Chief Guest Professor K Ratnabali gave an impactful speech and inspiring girls and women to become strong by not behaving in a masculine manner, rather by taking courageous decisions in their life. On the other hand, she appealed to the men to awaken their inner humility and empathy so that this world becomes beautiful with feelings like tenderness, and kindness.

The program came alive with beautiful dance performances on Ganesh Vandana and songs medley where the teachers also joined the students on stage.

An equally energizing talk was delivered by Capt. Ritu Kumar Ted talk speaker, social media influencer, motivational speaker, and former army officer. She narrated her struggles as a woman and shared her experience of working in the Defense Department of India. Her words inspired young girls to rise above all obstacles and discrimination.

Titli Foundation, an organization working in the field of Menstrual Hygiene, apprised the audience about its awareness campaign on Menstrual Hygiene.
The program concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Satyaprakash, member WDC.
