Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 132nd Birthday Celebrations at NIT Warangal

Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 132nd birthday celebrations were organized by Ambedkar Learning Center and SC, ST Cell, NIT Warangal
Prof. C. Krishna Mohan, IIT Hyderabad, Dr. J. S. Paranjyothi, Chairman, Oasis Educational Institutions, Prof. N. V. Ramana Rao, Director, NIT Warangal, Shri. S. Govardhan Rao, Registrar, NIT Warangal and Prof. S. Anuradha, Liaison Officer, SC/ST cell have participated in the event.
Prof. C. Krishna Mohan stated that Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is an inspiration for him. He said he was a great parliamentarian and a great human being. He said all of us should follow his principles to lead a better life.
Dr. J. S. Paranjyothi said, Dr. Ambedkar was a life long learner and has contributed in many ways to the society.
Prof. N. V. Ramana Rao said that Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was the reason behind the financial system and RBI establishment. He believed education can only transform society and he urged the students to find inspiration and follow such a wonderful leader.
Shri. S. Govardhan Rao, spoke on the contributions made by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar to the society. He said Ambedkar was a great leader and on this day it important for us to not forget to follow his principles.
Prof. S. Anuradha brifed on the activities being conducted in the SC/ST cell. She said Government of India is giving out various facilities and she urged students to make use of those facilities.
Later on, events like essay writing, quiz were conducted for students and Prizes were distributed. Mr. Thota Madhu, Mayaram Ade, Adarsh, Shakar Nayak, Chandar, Videsh Ram, Deva Raj, Lok Nayak and Yakub from students coordinated the event.
