Monthly Meeting of Kuwait Writers Forum Held

On the pleasant evening of spring flowers Nuwair and Malva adorning the streets of Kuwait, was the blooming of creative flowers of various fragrance at the Writers’ Forum Kuwait’s monthly meeting that was conducted in a beautiful ambience at the residence of the Forum’s President Mrs Maimuna Ali Chougle. The warm hospitality of Dr. Rubina Chougle and Forum’s patron the Mr Ali Chougle brought much serenity and joy to the attendees.

Following the usual practice, Ms. Nazneen Ali, the General Secretary welcomed all the members, wishing them on the occasion of the Indian festival of colours, Holi, and greeting her female counterparts on the occasion of International Women’s Day. As a positive gesture towards Women empowerment, Ms. Anupama Chaturvedi was requested to be the Chief Guest of the evening while Mr Ali Chougle, whose gracious presence was of paramount importance to the members, was invited to preside over the day’s proceedings.

The evening that was filled with scented presentations, incepted with a very touching story “Care taker” by Mrs Maimuna Ali which was well complemented by another story in Oriya by Biswa Ranjan ( Writer / Reporter / Social Worker & Country Board President of Kuwait – IHRD. Also International General Secretary of IHRD, Area President of Bharatiya Pravasi Parishad Association of Kuwait, Founder & Chairman of Bharat Seva Darsan Charitable Trust of Odisha ) addressing the value of humanity.
Honestly and Kindness are the two ways of expressing love to humankind. Humanity and Kindness are two inevitable characteristics required for the progress of Human Race.

The poetry session began on a high note with an Urdu ghazal by Ms. Nazneen Ali. Ms. Kavita Sarvesh emerged as a perfect pet parent through her poem dedicated to her pet dog. Mohan Singh surprised everyone with an Urdu poem composed by English poetess Ms. Parminder Kaur showcasing the fact that the members of the forum have multilingual abilities. A pinch of wit and humor was well served by Ameeruddin Ameer through his poem in Kannada. Aamir Diwan was as balanced as always while reciting his poem in which he spoke about balancing between two extremes in life. A series of Urdu ghazals by Sayeed Nazar Kadpavi, Yaseen Dawre and S. Qader Muzammil left the members astonished while establishing the fact that Urdu ghazals rules over all the genre of literature. Pankaj Pawan’s Punjabi ghazal further established the supremacy of ghazals over other forms of poetry.

In the final session Ms. Anupama Chaturvedi’s melodious presentation was enjoyed by all while she also amused everyone with her comments on the day’s presentation in a poetic way highlighting the gist of each members’ presentation. Mr Ali Chougle’s words served as a blessing for the members. The members enjoyed savory recipes and expressed their gratitude to the Chougle family for their warm hospitality and support to the Forum.
