Seven-Day Yoga Workshop at Rajdhani College ends on splendid note

Antarman, the Yoga & Meditation committee of Rajdhani College, University of Delhi under the guidance of the Convenor, Dr Krishna Thareja ,organized a grand celebration to mark the International Yoga Day. The event was honored by the presence of esteemed chief guest Dr Anil Kalkal, Director of Physical Education and Sports, DUSC, DU. The celebration brought together hundreds of students, teachers and non-teaching staff who assembled at the sports ground early in the morning to participate in a collective yoga session conducted by Yogacharya Krishna Kanhaiya. At the beginning of the webinar, The Principal of Rajdhani college, Prof Rajesh Giri delivered an insightful address to the students regarding the ill effects of technology and the over use of social media on student health. The principal emphasized the need of regular yoga practice as an effective solution to counter these negative effects.
To mark the International Yoga Day, the committee had organized a 7 day workshop consisting of webinars ,yoga practice sessions, painting and Rhythmic Yoga Competitions which concluded with a collective yoga session on 21 June. The workshop aimed to promote the practice of Yoga & Meditation among the students and faculty of Rajdhani college focusing on their physical, mental and emotional well-being. Renowned experts and professionals in the field of Yoga were invited to deliver insightful sessions sharing their knowledge and expertise on various subjects related to yoga.
The celebration of International Yoga day by Rajdhani college was a resounding success under the guidance of the Principal, Prof Rajesh Giri, the convernor, Dr Krishna Thareja and all members of the committee including Dr Sashmita Mohanty, Dr Swati Malik, Dr Mansi Chaudhary ,Dr Satish and Dr Naresh. Prof. Pankaj Garg, Dr. Ritu Malik and many other faculty members also graced the program. Francy, Gaurav, Vishal, Aryan, Deepanjali, Simran were the student volunteers who actively contributed for the success of the workshop.
