Frauds should be prevented

In order to strengthen the consumer movement in the southern states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, it is the responsibility of the leaders of the consumer associations to take the featur es of the new Consumer Protection Act 2019 to the peop le and ensure that the authorities implement it, said Mr. Damodar. On Saturday in Minerva Grand Hotel, Secunderabad, the President of the Southern States Consu mer Coordinating Commit tee, Dr. Palle Padu was pre sided over by Damodar. Spe aking on this occasion, he said that if the Consumer Protection Act is implem ented fully, there will be no financial frauds in the count ry and every consumer will be fully protected. Accor ding to Palle Padu Damodar, an organizing committee of five states has been formed and this committee will visit five states from July to Dece mber, coordinate consumer associations in those areas and undertake consumer protection programs. Later, Shankar Lal Chaurasia as con vener of South States Organ izing Committee, Kasu Viswo dhar Raju and A. Sivaparvathi as co-conveners, P. Vinay, P. Anil and some Veeraswamy were appointed. CCI Natio nal General Secretary Sambaraju Chakrapani was the guest of honor in today’s program.
