KAIBALYA SAHITYA SANSAD ORGANISED AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS’ LITERATURE WORKSHOP

Workshop on Agriculture and Farmers’ Literature has been organised by Kaibalya Sahitya Sansada at Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir , Balisahi Nuapada. The Chief Guest on the occasion Mrs ( Dr) Baijayanti Mishra, an eminent playwright and literary lauret talked on the development of Literature on Agruculture and Farmers’. Dr Jyotirmayee Udgata, Associate Professor from Ramadevi University emphasised on the value and contemporary status of farmers and urged for the need of adopting advanced equipments and processes by the farmers.
Invited speaaker Mrs Sujata Das Mohanty, Advocate Smt Swarna Prava Behera , Sj Bramhananda Mohanty, Pabitra Kumar Mallick Pt Nilakantha Rout, Lalitendu Palauri senior columnist were the notable presence who talked on literature and agriculture at large and how agriculture has influenced literature.The founder of Kaibalaya Sahitya Sansad and Editor Dr Sangram Keshari Samantray read an editorial and followed it up with note on the development of agriculture and discussed on various writers and authors on the character of farmers.
Farmers from seven districts who were present on the occasion were felicitated with the Odisha Krushi and Krushaka Prerana Awards 2023.
Hundreds of students were awarded for achievements and ranks in different competitions in various fields. Fifty numbers of poets who recited their poems on agriculture and farmers were also felicitated.
On the occasion various events like plantation, Geeta Recitation, cultural dance, patriotic songs etc were organised by the students.
Sasmita Pattanaik, Surendranath Mohapatra, Aparti Cahran Sethi, Ramakant Rout, Namita Mohanty , Dr Basant Kumar Nanda, Priyabrata Dehury, Gitanjali Prusty , Kabi Laxmi chhada, Bidyadhar Khatua and Sandhyarani Das were among others who cooperated in the smooth and successful organization of the event.

The first workshop on agriculture and farmers in the literary canons of Odisha is highly appreciated by the intellectuals.
