77th Independent day celebration held at Handwara By 26 Battalion BSF.

Handwara, Kashmir (Aasif Malik):

August 15 : On the occasion of 77th  Independence Day, commemoration of”Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” was arranged with Flag Hoisting ceremony at 26  Battalion Headquarters BSF, Handwara. Second in command Shri Vijay Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.

On the occassion CMO Dr. lalan singh, Deputy commandant Raju Bhardiya, Deputy commandant Sushil Kumar , Assistant Commandant Prabhat Tiotia, Inspector Yogesh Tanta , other rank officers and jawans were present there

After Flag Hoisting, sweets were distributed to school children. Shri Vijay Singh  interacted with orphan chindren and motivated them to excel in the field of their interest whether it is sports, music, education or any other field to bring good name to their parents, school, teachers and the nation. 

Approx 25 orphan children and hundreds of jawans  were present on this auspicious occasion.
