Prize Distribution Ceremony of “Our Culture” Quiz Competition on the occasion of Paramhansa Satyananda Saraswati’s birth centenary.

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Brahmalin Swami Paramhansa Satyananda Saraswati, the founder of Bihar Yoga School, under the efforts and supervision of Smt. Gita Tripathi and Tridib Tripathi at the local Satyananda Yoga School, ” our Culture ” quiz competition was held in various schools of the capital to reawaken the awareness of ancient Indian wisdom and culture. A prize distribution program was held in the school premises for the contestants.On this occasion, the director of the school, Swami Swarupanad saraswati enlightened the students present on how yoga and yoganidra can make life healthy and beautiful.
Swami Tyagarajnanda Saraswati from Bihar Yoga school in Munger said that by practicing different types of yoga, students can stay physically and mentally healthy and develop spiritual awareness. President of the school Mrs. Sudatta Patnaik said, by using our Indian culture and values, we can become good people in life because the culture of our country is beautiful and unique compared to the culture of other countries.
Today’s students and youths are not interested in Indian literature, culture and scriptures due to the touch of modernity and Ignorant of Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavat and various Indian scriptures. In order to create enthusiasm and interest in ancient Indian knowledge among them, the said quiz competition was first started in different schools of the capital under the direct supervision of Mrs. Geeta Tripathi from Gurupurnima. 5077 students participated in the senior and junior category. In the senior category, Biswajeet Naik of Unit-1 Government High School won the first position, Saiatman of MBS Public School got the second position and Ninad Sahu of Mothers Public School got the third position. Similarly, in the junior category, Bhargava Shukla of Mothers Public School won the first place, Anshuman Padhi of BJEM School won the second place and Asim Mohanty of Mothers Public School won the third place. In the coming years, the tripathy couple expressed that they would like to involve the students of various schools of the state in the ” our Culture” program.
