PCR Patrolling prevents major group clash. Nabs stabbing accused after run chase from the spot*.

PURI(KCN):

Today at 4.15 pm seven college students including the injured were present in front of SCS college main gate ( opposite side of the road) out them five were drunk. 

At the same time three youths were going on that road  from beach side in a bike.

One of the college student (who was drunk) out of above seven (1st group), abused the above three (2nd group) in filthy language as a fashion,  though they were unknown to each other.

Then the three youths (2nd group) stopped there and protested as to why they (1st group) abused so.

Then there was tussle/ fighting between these two groups. 

Members of both the groups brought some bamboo and wooden sticks from the cabin located nearby and assaulted to each other. In between one member of the second group stabbed to Basudev Sadangi (1st group) by means of a broken scissor. . On getting information 

 the PCR which  was performing patrolling near college square area comprising havildar Chitrasen Mallik , Constable 815 pradipta parida and Constable 516 Ananda Ekka reached there within seconds and 

  the PCR party intervened, shifted the injured Basudeb Sadangi to DHH in PCR vehicle and able to caught two accused from the spot. Whereas havildar chased the main accused and after a long chase he caught him from BSNL office. Subsequently City DySP and IIC Town PS reached at the spot, arranged the treatment of the injured. 

Investigation into the case is going on.

Till now police detained  04 persons from both the parties  (2- 2 each) . Three motor cycles have been seized. Raids are going on to apprehend rest accused persons.
