Inaugural of International Conference organized by Department of Mathematics
Warngal
KCN):
The Inaugural of the International Conference on Computational Modeling in Science and Engineering (ICCMSE- 2023) on the eve of superannuation of Prof Y N Reddy was held today morning in the Ambedkar Learning Center of NIT Warangal. The conference is organized by the Department of Mathematics in association with Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Society for Mathematical Sciences
(APTSMS). APTSMS is also organizing its 32nd congress at NIT Warangal.
The souvenir of the conference was released by Prof. YVSS Sanyasi Raju, chief guest of the conference. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that conference theme was very attractive to researchers and provided a much-needed platform for discussion on recent aspects related to Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Analysis, Fluid Mechanics and Computational heat transfer. He wished the function a grand success and hoped it would promote virtuous knowledge and wisdom.
Prof.A. Benerji Babu, Head, Dept. of Mathematics spoke about the history of the department and the milestones attained from its inception. He said it was indeed a proud moment for the Department to host an International conference on the eve of superannuation of Prof Y N Reddy. He added that the Department has started two new programs one is Four year Integrated B.Sc B.Ed and the other is Four year BTech(Mathematics & Computing). He added that the department was started with six students, presently the strength has increased to 268 in different disciplines.
Prof D Srinivasacharya, Dean (Students’ Welfare) & Conference Chair welcomed the participants and briefed them about the conference theme. ICCMSE-2023 received 200 papers and after a thorough scrutiny, 150 of them were selected for oral presentation. In addition to technical sessions, paper presentations and keynote address, the conference will witness four invited lectures and nine endowment lectures. About 150 delegates from several states in the country are attending the conference. The papers submitted for publication in conference proceedings will go through a robust double-blind peer review process before being shortlisted for publication. Prof Srinivasacharya also added that the selected papers will be published in Scopus/web of science indexed journals.
President of APTSMS Prof N Kishan and Dr C Jaya Subba Reddy Secretary of APTSMS, briefed about Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Society for Mathematical Sciences.
The conference is a timely confluence of keen minds from science, engineering, and physics. It is an occasion to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The ideas incubated here can be carried forward into the practical world. It is a complete capsule where engineers could turn to mathematics and mathematicians for solutions to their problems with machines.
The Organizing Secretaries of ICCMSE-2023 were Prof Ch Ramreddy, Prof J Pranitha, Prof A Benerji Babu, Prof E Satyanarayana and the Joint Organizing Secretaries were Prof K Kaladhar, and Prof J Srinivas. Each of them played a pivotal role in making the three-day Conference an amazing success. Prof. J Srinivas proposed a vote of thanks.
