Bhubaneswar,(KCN): In a recent exclusive interview with “The Kalinga Chronicle,” German Consul General to India, Ms. Barbara Voss, shared insights into the thriving Indo-German partnership during her visit to Odisha. The discussion, which included talks with Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mr. Naveen Pattnaik, touched upon crucial topics such as tourism, climate change, and the exchange of skilled professionals.
Ms. Voss expressed Germany’s eagerness to welcome skilled workers from India, emphasizing the mutual benefits for both nations. Strengthening the economy through collaboration in various sectors was highlighted as a priority.

With 45 thousand students currently pursuing higher studies in Germany and an additional 40 thousand applicants, Ms. Voss conveyed the Chancellor of the German government’s plan to streamline the visa process for students, facilitating smoother educational exchanges.
Prime Minister Mr. Modi and the German Chancellor affirmed their commitment to geopolitical development for sustainable ties between the two countries, particularly in the context of the upcoming G-20 sumitt.
