Navajyoti Patnaik writes to Chief Minister for New RDC Office, Municipal Corporation inBalasore and Sub-Division at Jaleswar.Balasore
Congress leader Navajyoti Patnaik has penned a letter to the Chief Minister, urging
comprehensive development for northern Odisha and Balasore. Balasore grapples with a lack of
infrastructure across all sectors. The letter meticulously presents data to outline the requisites
for development in Balasore. Navajyoti Patnaik underscores the necessity of establishing a
Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Office in Balasore District to ensure effective regional
representation in administrative affairs. Despite the creation of three revenue zones by the
Odisha government, representation for northern Odisha has been overlooked.
The letter emphasizes that Balasore Municipality has long been neglected without any
upgrades. Consequently, the people of Balasore are deprived of developmental benefits. While
several municipalities in the state have been elevated to municipal corporation status, Balasore
has been absent from this progress. Municipal corporations in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in the
coastal area, Sambalpur and Rourkela in western Odisha, and Berhampur in southern Odisha
are enjoying developmental benefits, leaving the people of Balasore at a disadvantage.
Navajyoti Patnaik highlights the demand for a Sub-Division Office in Jaleswar of Balasore District
to bolster local administrative infrastructure. Unfortunately, the Odisha government has been
negligent in addressing this need. Patnaik expresses optimism that these important issues will
be discussed in the upcoming cabinet minister-level meeting. With this, Navajyoti Patnaik
extends his heartfelt New Year wishes to all in advance.
