Unity in Ink: Journalists Gather at Kalahandi for National Discourse on Role in Nation Building

Bhubaneswar , (KCN): In a remarkable display of unity journalists from Kalahandi District in collaboration with the Apex Body of Working Journalists Association of India (ABAJ/AWAJ OF INDIA) convened at Sagada PWD IB, Bhawanipatna today, January 7, 2024. The event featured a Get Together Program and a seminar exploring the pivotal roles of journalists and citizens in nation-building.The meeting presided over by ABAJ OF INDIA Chairperson, Senior Journalist Sunil Kumar Mishra, hosted distinguished guests including Chief Guest Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sanjay Satpathy of Maa Manikeswari University, Kalahandi District and Guest of Honors Senior Journalist Umashankar Kar, Chairperson of International Human Rights Force Er. Biswajit Mallick and Sagada Sarpanch Govind Naik.
Addressing the assembly, Sunil Kumar Mishra emphasized the journalist’s duty to uphold neutrality ,seek justice and contribute to the upliftment of India’s underprivileged. He urged journalists to expose mistakes, faults, irregularities, injustices and corruption within the legislative, judiciary and executive branches.The event drew participation from over five hundred journalists nationwide, turning it into a significant conversation not just for Kalahandi District but resonating across the entirety of India.
