One day seminar on “ India’s Techade – Chips for Viksit Bharat@2047”

Aligning with India’s Semi-Conductor Mission and with an aim to strengthen the semiconductor facilities in India, Hon’ble prime minister Shri Narendra Modi today have laid down the foundation stone of the three semiconductor facilities worth 1.25 lakh crores today through video conferencing. As part of this initiative, a one day seminar was organized on “INDIA’S TECHADE- CHIPS FOR VIKSIT BHARAT@2047”.
Opening remarks were shared by Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi, Director, NIT Warangal. He said through this one-day seminar he said, students would be benefited with understanding the opportunities in the semiconductor market. Later, Dr. A. G. Krishna Kanth, Director of Analog Mixed Signal R & D, AMS OSRAM group, Hyderabad addressed the students on the growth opportunities of semiconductors and their usage. He urged the students to research and work in the area of semiconductors.
After the inaugural of three semiconductor fabrication facilities and Prime Minister’s address, Poster presentations were organized by master’s and PhD students. Several students presented their research work in the area of semiconductors. Later, an ideation contest was organized for students in which the students shared their ideas, prototypes using semiconductors. Later, Shri Venu Madhavan, Senior Design Expert, MicroChip Technology, Hyderabad spoke on the significance of chips. He said these days there are hardly any products that do not use a chip. The future for semiconductors is looking bright and there are many good opportunities he said. In the evening, prizes were given for best posters and best ideas and the concluding remarks were passed by the Director, Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi. The program was coordinated by D. Srinivasacharya, Dean, Student Welfare, Prof. Hari Krishna, President, Student Activity Center and Vice Presidents, Heads of the Departments and student council.
