Cyber crime culprits arrested.

The Kolabira Police of Jharsuguda district arrested two cyber criminals involved in cyber fraud case under Kolabira PS Case No. 210 dated 12.12.2023 u/s 420 IPC. The accused fraudsters arrested in connection with the case based on a complaint lodged by TVS Credit customer Sribatsab Patel of vill. Siriapali,P.S. Kolabira, Dist.Jharsuguda .
As reported that on 10.11.23 one unknown culprit dialed him in mobile No. 9078206645 and falsely stated him that he is the collection agent of TVS Credit and told him to pay his EMI through phone pay. Being believed he paid EMI of Rs.5000/- through online at nearly GRAHAK SEWA KENDRA on 14.11.23. Further it came to light that the same culprit took away EMIs from customers Mahesh Oram of Kelda and Chandrakanta Rohidas of Katikela.
On verification, at the Customer Care Centre where transaction was made and found that the amount has been deposited in the account of one Jitendra Bhue.
As all offences took place under Kolabira P.S. of Jharsuguda district, Area Security Officer of TVS credit Mr. Surya Kumar Panda along with other collection team accompanied the victim customer Sribastab Patel to Kolabira PS and lodged FIR as mentioned above. As the culprit is same, other two fact of offences have also been reflected in the same FIR. During investigation the FIR named accused has been arrested from his native Katikela under Ambabhona PS of Bargarh district. During interrogation to him and basing on evidence, another accused Birendra Mirdha of Kharselpali PS – Dhama, Dist. Sambalpur also arrested and forwarded in to the Court of SDJM, Jharsuguda and the investigation is under progress.
