Maharshi Public School Honours Guru Purnima with Festivities

Bhubaneswar, (KCN Bureau):The Guru Purnima festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Maharshi Public School, Baghra Road, Baripada
This festival marks the birth anniversary of Guru Vyasadeva, honoured as Guru Purnima.

The event saw the participation of students, teachers and parents. School Administrator Ashok Kumar Kar conducted the Guru Puja ceremony which was followed by a series of student activities including speeches, music, acting, handicrafts and rhymes competitions. The best performers were recognized with students awarded first, second and third places in various categories.
School principal Kajal Kanti Mohapatra addressed the gathering highlighting the traditional relationship between teachers and students in the Guru tradition. He contrasted the ancient Vedic practice of students living in the Guru’s ashram to the modern comfort of school classrooms.
The event saw active participation from all teachers ensuring its success. The celebration concluded with the distribution of biscuits to the students, marking the end of a memorable day.
