RPM Stands Strong : Justice for Bajpai, Safety for Journalists

New Delhi:(KCN Bureau): The Rashtriya Patrakaar Mahasangh (RPM) has strongly condemned the murder of Dainik Jagran journalist Raghavendra Bajpai in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh demanding swift justice. Addressing a virtual meeting, RPM National President Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantray reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to protecting journalists’ rights and safety.
Dr. Samantray emphasized that RPM remains the only national body consistently advocating for journalists delivering tangible results. He stated that attacks on journalists would not be tolerated and if necessary, a nationwide movement would be initiated to ensure their security.In a key announcement, he revealed that RPM will soon implement life insurance coverage for all its members with the initiative being officially launched at the 40th Foundation Day celebrations of iFSMN in New Delhi.The foundation day event will serve as a crucial platform to strategize journalist welfare measures, security policies and organizational expansion. A state-level committee will also be formed to enhance RPM’s grassroots presence.The meeting was attended by key office bearers, including: Dheeraj Kumar – National Treasurer,Gopinath Sahu – Publicity Incharge,Virendra Saini – Delhi State President,B.S. Deshpande – IFS MN Karnataka state President,RPM organising secretary Sushil sharma, Ishtiaq Ahmed – Uttar Pradesh Coordinator,
Hariyana state coordinator Manoj Goyal, sr member Partha ray, Arun Kumar Kamlesh sahu Ambarish Kumar, Anirudh mishra, ,Prayabrat Nayak & Tahir Ahmad – Program Coordinators,Deepak Sharma – NRC Convenor and others.During the meeting, a two-minute silence was observed in memory of Raghavendra Bajpai. Presiding over the session, National Convenor Mahtab Khan Chand reiterated RPM’s unwavering support for journalists and its commitment to their protection.
Expressing serious concerns over the safety of media professionals, RPM urged authorities to take stringent action against those responsible for Bajpai’s murder. The organization called on journalists and media houses to unite in demanding justice and safeguarding press freedom.RPM continues to stand as a strong advocate for journalists with initiatives like life insurance coverage and structured organizational growth marking significant steps toward a more secure and empowered journalism community in India.
