Laxminarayan College, Jamushali, Basta in Balasore district marked the beginning of its Golden Jubilee celebrations with great enthusiasm and grandeur.
The inaugural function was formally opened by Jaleswar MLA and former Minister Sri Ashwini Kumar Patra, who attended as the chief guest .

Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, National President of Rashtriya Patrakar Mahasangh and Editor-in-Chief of Paryabekhyak and The Kalinga Chronicle, graced the occasion as the Chief Speaker.
Among the distinguished guests of honour were Dr. Pradeep Kumar Panda, BJP North Balasore President, and Sri Suresh Kumar Patra, former Principal of the college.
The programme began with a soulful welcome song by students, followed by a sacred Vedic chanting by Ipsita Parida. The guests were introduced by Principal Sri Dibyendu Giri, while the annual report of the institution was presented by Adhyapaka Debabrata Das. The event was smoothly anchored by Adhyapaka Ajit Kumar Bhuyan.
The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances including an elegant Odissi dance by Sonali Samant, along with a series of performances by students, staff and alumni. The evening concluded with a melody programme by eminent artists of Odisha, captivating the audience.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Adhyapaka Sukant Kumar Giri.
The Golden Jubilee festivities will continue with a series of academic and cultural programmes and are scheduled to conclude on 10 February
