In a major success against organized crime and illegal arms networks, the Delhi Police has busted a high-profile criminal syndicate in the Outer North district. Acting jointly, teams from Alipur Police Station and AATS carried out coordinated raids, leading to the arrest of seven accused. The operation resulted in the recovery of a large quantity of illegal firearms, live ammunition, cash, jewelry, and a specially modified bulletproof vehicle. The entire operation was supervised by DCP Hareshwar Swami.
According to police officials, special teams were formed following a rise in criminal activities in the region. On March 19, 2026, acting on specific intelligence about armed criminals in Tajpur Kalan village, a raiding team first intercepted an aaropi named Amit. A search of his KIA Sonet car led to the recovery of an illegal pistol and live cartridges. Based on his interrogation, police conducted further raids and arrested the gang’s mastermind, Pardeep Kumar alias Neetu alias Sehwag, along with his associates.
The recovery made during the raid highlighted the organized and sophisticated nature of the gang. A black Scorpio SUV had been specially modified with bulletproof shielding, indicating its use for high-risk criminal activities. Police also seized one shotgun, two illegal pistols, one revolver, and 22 rounds of live ammunition of different calibers. Additionally, ₹19.78 lakh in cash, 916 grams of gold, 940 grams of silver, and 13 luxury wristwatches were recovered. Authorities also found 27 mobile phones and two laptops, which were reportedly used for betting and other illegal operations.
Investigations revealed that the mastermind Pardeep was associated with the notorious Tillu gang and was involved in illegal activities such as betting, financing, and property dealings. His associates Vikash and Sahil, residents of Karnal, Haryana, were responsible for recovering money through threats and intimidation. A case has been registered under the Arms Act and other relevant sections at Alipur Police Station.
In a parallel operation, the AATS team also busted another illegal arms supply network in the Bawana area. Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap late at night and managed to apprehend two suspects on the spot, while another was arrested later. From their possession, police recovered five country-made pistols, two revolvers, multiple magazines, and dozens of live cartridges. A motorcycle and a bag used for transporting weapons were also seized.
The arrested accused in this case include Ravi Singh, Mohammad Sahil, and Mohammad Akram, who were part of an interstate arms supply chain. Police stated that the accused used isolated locations for illegal transactions and relied on motorcycles for quick movement to evade law enforcement.
Authorities have confirmed that both cases are being linked as part of a larger investigation. Efforts are underway to trace the financial network, identify other associates, and uncover the source of illegal arms supply. Police are also searching for absconding suspects, and more arrests are expected in the coming days.
This major crackdown not only curbs rising crime in the capital but also reflects the strong and strategic approach of Delhi Police in tackling organized crime networks.
