In a grand and inspiring gathering, the National Media Conclave 2026 along with the 13th I-Women of Substance Award Ceremony was successfully held at Jaydev Bhawan, bringing together eminent personalities from media, academia, social sectors, and public life across the country.

The prestigious event was organized under the leadership of Pabitra Mohan Samantaray (Chairman), Dr. Chidatmika Khatua (Secretary General), Major Dr. Kalpana Das (Adviser), and Dr. Rajnikanta Mishra (Convenor), whose vision and dedication ensured the resounding success of the programme.

The conclave commenced with a traditional inaugural ceremony, including the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing knowledge and positivity. Speakers emphasized the crucial role of media as the fourth pillar of democracy and its responsibility in shaping a Viksit Odisha 2036 and Viksit Bharat 2047.
A key highlight of the inaugural session was the launch of the weekly newspaper “Ajira Samparka” and the official website of Kalinga Gaurav Foundation, marking a significant step towards strengthening communication and digital outreach.

The conclave featured engaging panel discussions on diverse themes such as ethical journalism, political discourse, cultural impact, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and women’s role in nation-building. Eminent speakers underlined the importance of inclusive growth and responsible media practices.
A deeply moving moment came with the introduction of the “Bitiya Foundation”, a noble initiative where one of the awardees pledged support for cancer-surviving children from Umidinee. This act of compassion symbolized hope, humanity, and a commitment to social responsibility, leaving a lasting emotional impact on the audience.
The evening session was marked by the much-anticipated 13th I-Women of Substance Award Ceremony, where 27 exceptional women were honoured for their outstanding contributions across various fields. Additionally, 31 teachers from across Odisha received the National Builder Awards in recognition of their invaluable role in shaping the future of the nation.
The event also acknowledged the contributions of NGOs and grassroots organizations working tirelessly for social upliftment. Cultural performances showcasing Odisha’s rich heritage added vibrancy and emotional depth to the programme.
The conclave concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers. The event stood as a powerful testament to the role of empowered women, responsible media, and dedicated educators in building a progressive and developed India.
