Bhubaneswar: The low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal is set to intensify further, raising the likelihood of heavy to extremely heavy rain in Odisha over one week, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.The low-pressure area, which formed at 5.30 am over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal-North Odisha coasts, is likely to become more marked and move west-north-westwards across North Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal during the next 48 hours, it said.
