Bhubaneswar: With severe cyclonic storm Murasu approaching Andhra Pradesh coast, the Odisha government on Monday stepped up evacuation of people from vulnerable areas in several southern districts.According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cyclone Murasu is likely tocross the south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Narsapur, to the south of Ongole, as a severe cyclonic storm. The landfall is expected betewen 11.30 pm on Monday and 4 am on Tuesday, November 3, with a wind speed of 100-110 kmph, gusting to 120kmph.In view of the IMD forecast, the state government has taken necessary steps to put in place robust arrangements to deal with the storm.
