Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday appealed to people across the state to participate in the ‘Ashirwad Ra Deepa’ programme on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday.
In a post on X, Majhi said the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ would begin on the occasion and described Modi’s five decades of uninterrupted public service and 25 years of leadership as Chief Minister and Prime Minister as having contributed to making India strong, prosperous and self-reliant.
Under the campaign, several programmes, including ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’, ‘Namo Seva Gatha’, ‘Swapnara Bharat’, ‘Paribartanara Kahani’ and ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, besides tree plantation and blood donation camps, will be organised, he said.
The CM said the ‘Ashirwad Ra Deepa’ programme would be organised across Odisha on September 17 and urged people to light a lamp at their homes, temples or other prominent places either in the morning or evening.
He also appealed to beneficiaries of government welfare schemes to offer prayers for Modi’s long and healthy life and share photographs and videos of the occasion on social media along with messages of good wishes.
“Your blessings and cooperation will make Modi Ji’s resolve even stronger and will accelerate the nation’s development journey,” Majhi said.
